A Touch of Country wedding venue is set in the northern part of the scenic Palouse region to create a stunning backdrop for your wedding day photos and memories. Having been family owned by the LaShaw family for over 100 years, A Touch of Country is a spectacular and convenient wedding venue. On the farm, the LaShaw family grows wheat, barley, lentils, peas and Timothy hay. The farm opened for its first wedding in 2005 and has loved opening their home and hearts to incoming brides.

Aside from the stunning landscape, characteristics that set this venue apart are catering and bar service. Since catering services can be one of the most expensive parts of an event, the caterers put extra care into planning a meal with you. Menus are custom designed with seasonal items for the freshest ingredients.

Details of the Grounds

A Touch of Country wedding venue has both indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception sites available. The venue can accommodate between 50 and 400 guests. With only a 30 minute drive from Spokane or Coeur d’Alene, this venue is also super convenient for guest to get to.

The barn 2400 square foot barn is quite spacious and a perfect backup plan for rain. The barn has white lights draped throughout to make a special atmosphere for your event. Outside of the barn is a covered 1200 square foot dance floor and a 1200 square foot covered catering porch. With both indoor and outdoor spaces available for use, this lovely farm is the perfect place to host weddings of all styles and sizes!

Photography Opportunities

A Touch of Country is more than just a classic red barn. The venue features stately trees and homestead buildings surrounding one of the primary event spaces. There are also several backdrops, including expansive grain fields, rose gardens, silo, a 1948 farm truck, a pond, the red barn, Palouse hills to the south and Mica peak to the north.

Couples can take photos amongst the golden wheat fronds, near farm structures or in front of the numerous flower or décor displays. The chandelier in the barn is one of photographers favorite items to include in photos.
