Engagement photos are one of those fun experiences you just cant miss and shoot, they are a great way to test out a photographer for your wedding. As a Spokane engagement photographer, my favorite couples are excited to get fancy and head outside to someplace naturally beautiful, think rocky rivers, mountains, grass or wildflower fields, lush gardens, or local parks and simply enjoy ourselves.

The PNW is full of lush landscapes to set your engagement pictures in. Add you in a dress and him in his Sunday best and you have some beautiful pictures - it is that easy!
BEAUTIFUL
What could be easier - send me a message and we will get going on your engagement pictures! All I require is a signed contract to reserve your session.
Most couples reserve a session 4-12 weeks before their session date but you can schedule out up to 12 months in order to catch your favorite season!

Step 1 of 5
Printing your photos is the last step of any successful photo session and the best way to get lifetime value out of the the investment you have already made in your engagement pictures. You can print the photos on your own or go through me - just make sure to do it.
To help you get the most out of your session, a print and product menu will come with your contract. I offer 3 collections to choose from. All collections include at a minimum, an album, wall art and gift prints. Prints and cards can also be purchased al la carte. This is my way of serving you to the best of my professional ability.

Once you sign your contract, I will send you an engagement photo style guide that is sure to help you find the best look for your engagement pictures.
There are so many incredible places for engagement photos in Spokane from the West Plains of Cheney and Medical Lake on over to Liberty Lake and Post Falls. South to Freeman and North to Mead and Deer Park. I look for natural textures and great light and find those in the many city, county and state parks around us. I use grass covered hills, rocky water ways, tree lined trails, a mountain scene or a backyard garden in full bloom to add a PNW vibe to your family pictures.
Style and Location

To start the session, we will meet up at your chosen location and make more personal introductions. The first few minutes are all about you getting comfortable and enjoying yourselves in a beautiful place.
The session will start out with super simple posing and work its way from fun to romantic. Depending on your session length we may have an outfit change or a good mix of locations and poses for you to choose from.
Your Portrait Session
Step 4 of 5
Woohoo! Your engagement photos will arrive as an online gallery to your provided email address. From there you can download your images and/ or choose which images to purchase.
The most exciting part of this journey is you opening the packages of your print order, sharing the photos and displaying them throughout your home. A photo of the two of you on a wall is truly a powerful visual element to communicate the love you share with each other. I am so excited for the treasure you will have to see through the years.

You'll find yourself laughing and smiling throughout the session. It is not uncommon for me to hear that the guy who did not want to do pictures ended up seeing this as the single most fun part of wedding planning.

Do yourself a favor and hire Nate! I have never gotten professional pictures before so I didn't know what to expect, but he made things so fun and easy for my engagement shoot.
