Located in Spokane, Washington, Arbor Crest is a historic Florentine-style property that features a Cliff House, gorgeous gardens and grounds, a picturesque vineyard, and unmatched views of Spokane. This 4.5-acre property is the perfect destination for a romantic wedding, with three ceremony locations and a 5,000-square-foot reception tent.
The venue’s history reaches back to 1924 when Royal Newton Riblet established this landmark. At the time of its construction, it featured unheard-of engineering and mechanics. The three-story Florentine-style mansion featured four acres of terraced gardens, a unique pool, a croquet court, and a red-roofed gazebo.
Over the years, the estate has welcomed thousands of visitors. In the 1980s, Harold and Marcia Mielke transformed the estate into a destination winery. Eventually, by 1999, the family business expanded. Today, the property produces award-winning varietals and exceptional wines sourced from Washington’s finest fruit.
Now, the Cliff House Estate at Arbor Crest has become the Inland Northwest’s premier destination for not only exceptional wine experiences but also festivals, gatherings, concerts, and weddings.
Details of the Grounds
Arbor Crest has a variety of ceremony and reception spaces that couples can choose from, all with stunning outdoor views. The Enchanted Forest sits next to the left of the entrance. It features natural beauty, vine-covered evergreens, and plenty of shade, creating a fairytale-like ambiance for couples to host their ceremony. This space can accommodate up to 300 guests.
The Vineyard Tent is a beautiful event space that overlooks the venue’s grape arbors, as well as the Spokane Valley and downtown Spokane. The Vineyard Tent is ideal for a reception space. This 5,000-square-foot tent is also available as a backup in the case of weather issues. The Vineyard Tent can host up to 225 guests for a reception, with additional seating available on the Vineyard Lawn.
The Estate Courtyard includes the Croquet Court and the Event Stage. This area extends from the Gate House to the historic Florentine-style Cliff House building. Additionally, The Estate Courtyard features impressive views of the Spokane River Valley, Spokane Valley, and downtown Spokane.
Couples may utilize this space for the ceremony, cocktail hour, or reception. Its capacity is 300 guests for cocktail hour or a reception and is ideal for use during June and July.
Furthermore, The Croquet Court can host up to 130 guests for a ceremony. The Event Stage can accommodate up to 250 guests for a larger ceremony.

Receptions in the outdoor tent feature elegant hanging bistro lights, a large dance floor, and picturesque views of the surrounding greenery. This space is perfect for photos of the reception as couples and their guests dance the night away.
The tented area is warm and bright, with lots of natural light but enough protection from harsh weather to make it the ideal location for an outdoor reception.
