Silverbell Weddings for Unforgettable Celebrations of Love

If you are considering a barn wedding but need a little extra convincing, I am happy to oblige. Barn weddings are lovely for a variety of reasons. First of all, a barn is a beautifully rustic blank canvas. Generally speaking, there aren’t bold-colored carpets or other polarizing decor that could sway how you envision your wedding day. Instead, you’ll find neutral colors, warm woods, and maybe industrial metals that will allow you to pick your own color themes, lighting, and tablescapes. Luckily, Silverbell Weddings in the Spokane area offers some of everything!

Another beautiful benefit to a barn wedding is how it incorporates nature’s simplicity into an event. Though there are exceptions, barns are typically secluded and feel like an escape away from the busyness of everyday life. There is something magical about exchanging vows under an open blue sky, surrounded by beautiful landscaping and the peace and quiet of a remote venue.

Whether you decide to add an abundance of florals, drapery, and dramatic lighting for a more elegant event or keep it simple and rustic for a more country aesthetic, a barn wedding is a fantastic option for any couple searching for somewhere quiet, simple, and sophisticated to celebrate their love.

If you live in the Spokane area, I recommend checking out Silverbell Weddings as a potential venue. Once a family farm that began in the early 1920s, today it has been renovated into a charming and charismatic event space perfect for an intimate celebration with your closest friends and family. Read on to discover more about what makes Silverbell Weddings a beautiful wedding venue!

About Silverbells Weddings

Silverbell Weddings received its name after its home venue, Silverbell Farms. Family-owned since its establishment in 1921, it has transformed from a home for dairy cows, hogs, chickens, and turkeys to a stunning new wedding venue. Owner Joshua Strickler’s grandparents were the original owners of the farm. When his family moved onto the property in 1990, he instantly fell in love with the land.

Joshua’s stagecraft and technical production background have heavily influenced his calling as an event coordinator. He dedicates himself to providing couples with unforgettable weddings with a rustic charm aesthetic. He’ll help you curate your perfect wedding day in the eighty-year-old family barn, renovated to hold all the necessary amenities.

Details of the Grounds

Silverbell Weddings has several gorgeous locations for a lovely, romantic ceremony.

The Plum Blossom View is a beautiful outdoor space with a simple archway before a backdrop of bushy green trees. Expansive blue sky and rustic buildings set the scene for a simple and sophisticated exchange of vows. Drape the archway with simplistic drapery for an extra touch of elegance, or adorn it with seasonal florals for a personalized look.

The Harvest Acres wedding location sits before a wide field of canola fields that stretch out far into the distance, golden in the fall and blooming with bright yellow blossoms in the summer. You can seat your guests on rustic hay bales draped in blankets or folding chairs. There is a simple trellis that makes a bold statement and anchors your ceremony with a picture-perfect wooden frame.

Bell Hall is the stately barn on the property made of warm, rustic wood and surrounded by fields of bright, happy sunflowers. Inside, bright sunbeams shine through cracks in the wooden walls for a romantic atmosphere. There is plenty of space for up to 150 people (including your wedding party) and a bar, dance floor, and more! You can also transform Bell Hall for your ceremony. With strings of twinkle lights, elegant florals, and other personal touches, it’s the perfect place to exchange vows with the love of your life.

Prepare for your wedding day with your bridal party in the Bridal Suite, perfect for those classic getting-ready shots you’re likely looking forward to. And don’t worry about your partner. They’ll be able to put the rustic groom’s room to good use before your ceremony with their party as they get ready.

Photography Opportunities

There are so many incredible opportunities for stunningly beautiful wedding photos at Silverbell Weddings. In the summer, the canola fields are full of whimsical yellow blooms that stretch as far as the eye can see, providing a gorgeous, colorful backdrop for pictures that will make your gown pop. The farm’s surrounding property is expansive and wide. The horizon features charming farmhouses and barns that set a quaint and rustic scene. Silverbell’s sunflower fields are another spectacular opportunity for portraits you’ll treasure forever.

If you’re a fan of a homespun chic aesthetic, you’ll love all of the weathered wood on the property that is perfect for portraits and family pictures. Wine barrels and twinkle lights in the barn set the scene for fun party photos. Plus, I’ll ensure we capture every intimate detail of your wedding day, so you can look back on the pictures and relive the entire day, from start to finish.

Silverbell Weddings Details

You’ll have the help of a wedding coordinator to make sure the entire day runs smoothly. With a coordinator, you can focus on enjoying every moment of your wedding day instead of getting caught up in the little details. You’ll have the venue space for 10 hours, so you won’t have to rush, either.

Silverbell Weddings provides a variety of assorted tables perfect for guest books, gifts, desserts, and more. Use them to decorate however you like! Your wedding will include 8-foot farm-style tables, which will be set up for you and torn down at the end of the night (they’ll set up your ceremony space, too.) For your party, Joshua will work with you to select your lighting. Should you choose to take advantage of their stock of décor, he’ll help you with your centerpieces and table settings, too.

Contract your own caterer and bartender from their list of preferred vendors for an evening guaranteed to go smoothly. If there is someone specific you want to work with who isn’t on their list, get in touch to see if they can add them!
