Zephyr Lodge, located in Liberty Lake, Washington, was constructed in 1902 by Mr. Charles Traeger, known for catering to society’s elite. At the time, he was the proprietor of the Royal Rooms parlor house in Butte, Montana. When Charles headed to Liberty Lake in Washington, he decided to build a luxury roadhouse. His plantation-style home was covered in wall-to-wall carpeting, every room had steam heat installed, and Kerosene lighting was used. The Zephyr became known for its gambling and liquor sales, with a dance hall near the Lodge’s waterfront.
In 2017, the lodge’s raucous roots were abandoned. A local Spokane family purchased the lodge to refurbish it and offer the facilities as a wedding venue. This historic Liberty Lake venue is less than 30 minutes from Spokane and five minutes outside Liberty Lake. The property includes over 56 acres, full of rustic charm and natural landscapes that make a picturesque backdrop for wedding photos to be cherished for a lifetime.

The Main Lodge includes a full commercial kitchen, walk-in fridge, ice machine, freezer, and commercial dishwasher. Indoor weddings and receptions include a stage, dance floor, indoor sound equipment, and large farm-style tables. Seating is provided for up to 100 guests. Outdoor event spaces feature a lakefront stage, a hexagon arbor, and mahogany chairs for up to 200 guests. An outdoor reception in a large field with a stage, tables, and bistro lighting is an option for couples. Outdoor receptions can host hundreds of guests.
