My college swing dance friends asked me to photograph some announcement photos for their first baby on the way. Oh what joy there is in anticipation of a first child and sharing that joy with family and friends. As is usual, someone close catches on early and the excitement spills out quickly. In this case it was a sister, who pretty much caught on right away! (Sisters are good with that sort of thing, you know.) Although the announcement was made verbally, I had the joy of photographing their visual announcement! We met at one of my favorite gardens in Pullman, WA – Stratton’s Cutting Garden. When flowers are blooming, the garden is open to the public for making a bouquet. The garden also makes a wonderful backdrop for a variety of photos like bridal portraits, senior pictures, maternity, and baby announcements! I had fun letting the new parents wander the gardens and arranging scenes with their pintrest- worthy props. Baby 1, you are loved!
