Furthermore, this mansion is a gorgeous Victorian estate in the woods of Pend Orielle County, between Newport and Diamond Lake. The property features a 6,200-square-foot private residence built entirely by the owners, Jeanine and Roger Shawgo, in 1999.
This breathtaking estate property contains 5 acres of tree-lined woods and 5 acres of manicured, beautiful gardens where guests enter through a tree and chandelier-lined driveway. Foxwood House also includes a dock right on the lake for fantastic photo opportunities.
Details of the Grounds
When couples reserve Foxwood House as their venue, they have full access to the property for the day. Couples can choose the location of the wedding ceremony and reception. The venue can accommodate up to 300 guests and is open from May until September. Many couples have the ceremony and reception in the woods, the ceremony and reception in the gardens, or use one site for the ceremony and one location for the reception.
The bride and bridesmaids can walk up the stunning oak staircase to the turret room, where they can relax and prepare for the ceremony. The turret room has a vast private restroom as well. Furthermore, there is a private dressing room at the back of the house for the groom and groomsmen. Wedding guests can mingle and relax in the garden or woods while they await the day’s festivities.
Foxwood House can accommodate a variety of wedding styles, including elegant, vintage, rustic, boho, chic, country, fairytale, romantic, casual, garden, and much more. There is a large gazebo available for the wedding ceremony. In the garden, there is a saloon serving beer and wine. The property also has a unique 1950s Texaco Gas Station that is excellent for photo opportunities.

The outdoor space includes a saloon, which can serve beer and wine and is also a unique photo location for wedding day snapshots. The backyard also houses a 1950s Texaco Gas Station, creating a fantastic backdrop for wedding photos.

This venue is available from May through September. It offers couples access to 5 acres of luscious gardens and 5 acres of woods, and a private dock on the lake. Venue rentals are for 14 hours in total. The venue can accommodate up to 300 guests.
Wedding packages include full use of the grounds for the wedding day, for 14 hours total. An onsite one-hour wedding rehearsal is available by appointment only. Rentals include set up and tear down of all tables and chairs. The venue includes:
