I primarily take on portrait sessions in the Spokane area but had an exciting opportunity to travel to Yakima for these fall orchard senior pictures. Orchard photos are a lot of fun. If you were hoping for orchard pictures in the Spokane area, checkout the orchards on Greenbluff.
Here in Yakima, we used cherry and apple trees, along with the surrounding native landscape to add dramatic texture to her beautiful portrait session. Walking into the fruit blocks, you wouldn’t believe the overwhelming sweet floral smells of apples getting ready to be harvested. Soooo good. The orchards had crisp rows of fruit trees just starting to take on their alluring fall colors.
In the Orchard, a pond created a unique desert meets water setting for photos. The songs of frogs croaking in the background were fun to hear.
Surrounding the orchards are Native American lands rich with natural plant life. You can see a ridge rising above the horizon in several of the images all covered in a golden velvet. This was a truly magical place for these Yakima senior pictures. This portrait session was loads of fun and we left with so many amazing shots that she and her family will treasure for years to come.
