Family owned and operated in the scenic rolling Palouse hills near Genesee, Idaho, The Barn at Mader Farm is more than just a wedding venue. The property is also an an actively working farm. The farm grows wheat, barley, canola and chickpeas. You will find The Barn at Mader Farm is central to Lewiston, Clarkston, Moscow and Pullman.
The Barn at Mader Farm was established in 1895 and was close to extinction. However, the barn still stands today to host events and wedding celebrations. What is the barn’s story? After several local charity fundraisers saved the barn, a girl dreamt of getting married at the Mader barn. That dream came true in 2013 and the Mader barn as a wedding venue became a reality.
Details of the Grounds
The Barn at Mader Farm is available for commercial or private events throughout the year with rental times from 8am-11pm. The barn is quite spacious and a perfect backup plan for rain. Or a first plan during the cooler season. One barn wall is faced with the original tin. Screw holes left in the tin over the years of use make for a spectacular starry backdrop.
Outside of the barn is a lovely manicured yard with symmetrical post and beam trellis’ centered to either side of the primary barn doors.
With both indoor and outdoor spaces available for use, this lovely farm is the perfect place to host weddings of all styles and sizes!
Special Space Features
The Barn. The 1895 barn is the primary backdrop to host your wedding. At full capacity, the space can hold up to 350 guests. Inside the barn is a viewing loft for guests to gather or catch a bird’s eye view of the events happenings.
Man Cave. Commonly used for rehearsal dinners or a common gathering place on wedding day, the Man Cave is a place for fun and games. In the man cave, you will find a TV, refrigerator, microwave, sink, game tables and chairs for 40-50 people. For those warm days, a garage door opens the space wide to the outdoors.
Bridal Suite. The bridal suite is your party’s private area to prepare for the day. It has a connecting door to the women’s restroom which can be closed and locked for privacy and security during the event.
Grooms Grain Silo. One cool and unique feature of this venue is the grooms prep room. Once a grain silo, it is now a comfortable room to hang out, play pool and enjoy the day.
Vintage Farm Truck. Be sure to make use of their 1949 vintage farm truck for a photo prop, a place to hold gifts, guest signing or decorate as you like.
Gazebo Fire Pit. Fires are a great place to gather, relax and share life together. On a cool evening, what is better than gathering under a gazebo and warming up by a crackling fire?
Bullpen. The barn has a covered porch area (bull pen) right outside a side door which is perfect for food prep and serving.
