The Commellini Estate was born in 1941 from a love of family, good food, and building community through events. Over 80 years later, they are still a family-owned and operated business, still proudly influencing Spokane food and event culture to this day!
When they aren’t hosting weddings, they host various other activities such as cooking classes, speakeasy supper clubs, and more. Their estate boasts over 200 acres of private woods and the tranquil Spring Creek, the perfect location for a respite from the everyday hustle.
In addition to their acreage, they also have plenty of rustic buildings, prairie, and beautiful forests that will make your day picturesque. They offer six ceremony and reception spaces to choose from that feature everything from water features to canopies of thousands of twinkle lights. You may find that you come to Commellini for the food, but you stay for the scenery.
Commellini Estate offers six spaces on their property for you to host your wedding. They are a blend of indoor and outdoor and can accommodate varying numbers of guests. You can mix and match your spaces, too, so you’ll be able to show off multiple parts of their stunning venue.
Their Creek Side location (up to 185 guests) is right along the edge of Spring Creek, so the sounds of tranquil running water will add a natural touch to your event. The white Tuscan gazebo is an ideal focal point for exchanging vows, and you can always bring your own decor to give it a personal touch.
During the spring, the bank has flowers and ivy. Furthermore, couples frequently use the bridge beyond the trellis as a first-look location because of its stately 9-foot waterfall. While great for ceremonies, couples can also use this space for dinners, entertaining yard games, and more.
The Portico (up to 120 guests for the ceremony, 225 for the reception) is outdoors but covered and primarily used for dancing under the stars in warmer months. It has also been used for ceremonies, buffets, outdoor receptions, and overflow seating,
The Pond Side location (up to 300 guests) is the largest event space. It has manicured grass and pine trees and is centered in front of a beautiful lake with a spectacular fountain. A slight slope allows you to stagger your guests’ ceremony seating into two tiers, so everyone gets a great view of your “I Do’s.”
The Deck is a smaller outdoor space ideal for a cocktail hour. A stunning willow tree draped in twinkle lights shades the deck, making for a great photo opportunity or a romantic setting for your first dance as a married couple.
The Main Venue (up to 120 guests with a dance floor, but it can accommodate 150 – 200 if you choose to add some outdoor space!) was originally built in 1941. It has a lot of warm and rustic wood paneling, crystal chandeliers, and handmade gold-leafed Corinthian columns. It is a rustic aesthetic that you can easily make your own for your wedding day!
La Capanna (up to 40 guests for the ceremony and 60 guests for the reception) is their most intimate event space. It is often used as a groom getting ready space, as it also features a 70-inch TV. The Commellini Estate is known for its prohibition past. This space was the front of a working underground tunnel back in the day!
In addition to their event spaces, Commellini Estate has a beautiful bridal suite, perfectly set up for getting ready for your wedding with:
With over 180 acres of photo opportunities, you will have pictures you will treasure forever. There are plenty of hidden gems across the property, such as old rustic buildings, fountains, waterfalls, and even an old army truck for a unique portrait!
Colorful flowers often spot their sprawling forest groves and fields of prairies and grasses. Golden hour (the small window of time just before the sun sets) is perfect for finding a stretch with an open sky or plenty of sun-dappled spots for photos with a romantic, country feel.
With the root of the foundation of Commellini Estate being food, it’s no surprise that their onsite catering is a perk of any of the weddings they host. Their chefs will work with you to create a perfect menu that will leave your guests raving long after the party. They also have several affordable beverage options, as they must provide all alcohol.
There are plenty of perks that come with a Commellini Estate wedding. Their personal event coordinator will help you make sure your wedding is unique to you and everything you want it to be, while also making certain things are running smoothly the day of.
Their staff handles your wedding setup and cleanup, so you can focus on the important things, like soaking in every moment. And, of course, if you choose to have parts of your wedding outdoors, they will ensure there is a plan for any inclement weather.
