I primarily take on portrait sessions in the Spokane area but it was an exciting opportunity to travel to an on location session outside of the Spokane region for these fall orchard senior pictures. Because of this, it was easy to accept this request to take pictures for this Yakima senior in her families delightful orchards.
We used cherry and apple trees, along with the surrounding native landscape to add dramatic texture for her beautiful portrait session. Walking into the fruit blocks, you wouldn’t believe the overwhelming sweet floral smells of apples getting ready to be harvested. So good. The orchards had crisp rows of fruit trees beginning to take on their alluring fall colors.
There was a pond nestled into the orchard that created a unique and memorable setting for summer evenings. You could hear the frogs croaking.
Surrounding the orchards are Native American lands rich with natural plant life. You can see a ridge rising above the horizon in several of the images all covered in a golden velvet. This was a truly magical place for senior pictures. This portrait session was loads of fun and we left with so many amazing shots that I know she and her family will treasure for years to come!
